The Official NerfCenter FAQ
(Frequently Asked Questions)

Q:  Where can I buy Nerf® ammo refills?  Which stores sell it?

A:  Nerf® ammo is hard to find in retail stores.  However, you may still order Nerf darts, balls, and arrows direct from Hasbro.
Here is their Online Order Form.

Q:  Where can I buy Larami® (SuperMAXX™) ammo?  Which stores sell it?

A:  Larami®/SuperMAXX™ ammo has been discontinued from retail stores.  However, you may still order SuperMAXX darts direct from Larami.  Call 1-800-669-TOYS for an order form.

Q:  Where can I buy a -fill in the name of a blaster-?

A:  If the product has been discontinued, you'll have to resort to buying it at garage sales or off of your friends.  If the blaster is available, consult the NerfCenter Purchase Nerf Section.  If we don't have it listed for some reason, check your local toy store.

Q:  Do you still sell -fill in the name of some discontinued blaster-?

A:  No, no, no.  We don't sell anything directly.  This is just a "fan" Nerf site.

Q:  So, do you guys work for Nerf®?  Can I exchange my Type 2 ammo for Type 1?  When's such-and-such a blaster coming out in my area?  Can you send me replacement parts?

A:  Remember folks, no one here on TeamNC works for Nerf, or Hasbro®, or any toy making company.  You can contact Hasbro to have these questions answered.  Check out the Contact page for more info.

Q:  The rating you gave -filintheblank- blaster was horrible!  What were you guys thinking?

A:  The TR (TechRating) of a blaster is based on pure data.  It cannot be disputed.  However, the NCR (NerfCenter Rating) of a blaster is based somewhat on our personal opinions.  If you don't like other people's opinions, just ignore the launcher's NCR.

Q:  Can I take some pictures off of NerfCenter to use on my Nerf Site?

A:  No.  We photographed all of those launchers ourselves.  All of the photos on this site are branded with the NerfCenter logo, so if they pop up on your site, we can tell that you stole them.  Those photos are our intellectual property, so proper legal actions will be taken against those who violate our rights.

Q:  Hey!  My --blaster-- goes about 30 feet farther than the maximum distance you guys listed . . . what's going on?

A:  TeamNC only uses unmodified blasters for testing purposes.  Your blaster was probably modified in some way or form, or has a design fluke.  We try to check our tests with multiple blasters to account for design flukes.

Q:  Why don't you add Nerf blaster modifications to your site?

A:  We will be adding a Repair section in the future.  However, we can't cover modifications for reasons of liability, etc.  (Disclaimers aren't foolproof, trust us.)  More info on the Repair section will be released in the future.

Q:  Why don't you add Nerf war stories to your site?

A:  There are already a lot of good Nerf war story web sites on the Internet.  Check out the Links page for a bunch of sites that have stories on them.

Q:  Do I need a frames-compatible browser to view NerfCenter?

A:  Yes, at the current moment you need Netscape 2.0 or higher or Internet Explorer 3.0 or higher to view NerfCenter.  A no-frames site may show up in the future, but don't count on it.

Q:  Hey, sometimes the navigation bar on the left has the wrong color lit up for where I am on the site.  What's up?

A:  The navigational bar can sometimes get confused.  Click one of the links on the bar to fix the problem.

Q:  Can I join TeamNC?

A:  Not right now.  We'll tell you if any jobs open up.

Q:  I sent you an e-mail, but it never got answered.  What happened?

A:  We get lots of e-mail every day.  If we didn't answer your e-mail, it's nothing personal.  We just didn't have enough time.

Got a question that wasn't covered here?  You know what to do.
